Build Salesforce Assignment Rules with AI

Assignment rules are how Cases and Leads get to the right team. The criteria-based routing UI in Setup is clunky and entry ordering matters. SF Agent generates the complete rule with properly ordered entries from a simple description.

Manual
15-30 min
With SF Agent
~2 min

The Manual Way

  1. 1Navigate to Setup → Assignment Rules (Lead or Case)
  2. 2Create a new rule and set it as active
  3. 3Add rule entries with priority order
  4. 4Set criteria for each entry (field conditions or formula)
  5. 5Assign to a user or queue per entry
  6. 6Optionally configure email templates per assignment
  7. 7Test with records matching different criteria

With SF Agent

  1. 1Describe the routing logic: which criteria routes to which team
  2. 2SF Agent generates the assignment rule with ordered entries
  3. 3Queue assignments and email notifications included
  4. 4Deployed and activated automatically

Example

You type:

Create a Case assignment rule: Priority High goes to 'Tier 2 Support' queue, Product = 'Enterprise' goes to 'Enterprise Team' queue, everything else goes to 'General Support' queue.

SF Agent generates:
  • Assignment Rule: Case_Routing (Active)
  • Entry 1: Priority = High → Tier 2 Support queue
  • Entry 2: Product__c = Enterprise → Enterprise Team queue
  • Entry 3: Default → General Support queue
